Sound recording on set can sometimes be both challenging and difficult. Low budget and lack of availability of good sound equipment, tight shooting schedules, conflicting interests between different departments, challenging acoustics – the list of potential problems is long.
In this workshop we will have a look into several basics of on-set recording, including pre-production preperation, choice of recording equipment (e.g. recorders, microphones and wireless microphone kits), recording techniques (e.g. boom operating and atmo-recording) and acoustic optimizing.
We will have a theoretical part followed by practical exercises.
To keep the exercises efficient the number of participants is limited to 10 people.
