Interflugs invites young filmmaker Inbar Horesh for a critical discussion on representations of identities and politics in the Israeli cinema. Using examples throughout the years, Horesh will discuss the changes that have occurred in the Israeli political discourse and how it affects film-making. Screening scenes from past and contemporary Israeli films, Horesh will demonstrate the background that influenced her work.
Inbar Horesh graduated with excellence four years of film-making studies at Minshar for Arts Academy in Tel-Aviv, specializing in directing and screenwriting. During her studies, Inbar wrote and directed several short films that participated in international film festivals. Her graduation film THE VISIT was part of the 2014 Cinefondation selection at Cannes Film Festival, and was nominee for Best Short Film Academy Awards in Israel.
