Summer. The end of university. The students leave the building as Visual Culture workers. An echo of the discourse remains. From university into universe:
As a farewell, instead of an exhibition that tries to appeal to the market and stoke the career competition, a free radio station moves into the main building.
Between the master-scholar exam and the opening of the summer-show the working students, their helpers and guests broadcast and receive their own ultrashort-wave.
Everybody is invited to contribute to the show. Each day we move through an open program with reports, reviews, previews, interviews, audio-art, music, pre-produced and live concerts. All participants have access to the studio and it’s events. All visitors have access to battery driven free radios, available to borrow from a shelf in the entrance hall. The idea to create a surround sound atmosphere of our station-happenings like that follows a tradition of various radiophil artistic, social and political projects since the 70s, but we directly adopted it from the great “Death Disco Club”: “This created both a sonic and a social sculpture.”
4 days, from july 9.-12. 2km around Hardenbergstr. 33, daily from 10am – 8pm and online lifestream & podcast

Sommer. Die Uni ist zu Ende. Die Student_Innen verlassen das Haus als Visual Culture workers. Es bleibt ein Echo des Diskurses. Aus der Universität ins Universum:
Zum Abschied zieht in die Räume des Hauptgebäudes statt einer Ausstellung, die versucht dem Markt zu schmeicheln und den Karrierewettbewerb anfeuert, eine Freie Radiostation.
Zwischen Meisterschüler_Innenprüfung und der Rundgangeröffnung senden und empfangen die arbeitenden Studierenden, ihre Helfer und Gäste ihre eigene Ultrakurzwelle.
Alle sind eingeladen, am Programm mitzuarbeiten. Wir bewegen uns täglich durch eine Reihe von Reportagen, Re-, Pre- und Interviews, Hörkunst, Musik, Vorproduziertem und Live-Konzerten. Alle Beteiligten haben Zugang zum Studio und den dortigen Veranstaltungen. Alle anderen haben Zugang zu batteriebetriebenen freien Radios, die in einem Regal in der Halle stehen und dort geliehen werden können. Die Idee so einen Surround – Sound unserer Station-Happenings herzustellen folgt einer Tradition diverser radiophiler künstlerischer, sozialer und politischer Projekte seit den 70er Jahren, direkt haben wir sie aber vom großartigen “Death Disco Club” übernommen: “This created both a sonic and a social sculpture.”
